It's a struggle to aim at enemies. It is all over the place. It's wobbly, unsteady and very difficult to be accurate.
And this is in STORY mode. I can't even imagine trying to aim at human players in multiplayer!
Story mode is, as much, a tutorial, as it is a Story Campaign. It's designed to be "noob" ish at the start, and as you progress, you get things like Engine Upgrades and lessons on "tricks"..
IT IS NOT AN ARCADE GAME!!! It's not designed to make everyone a Master Pilot out-of-the-box! There is a learning curve required... That "frustration" is an expected, and it means you are not likely to beat the Story Mode in a weekend.
You "mouse and keyboard" players can do just fine, soon as you accept you need to understand there is a learning curve. War Thunder and "others" are Arcade games. They are games designed to give ease of access, so you have to pay for necessary upgrades to stand out. For the first time, EA has not introduced a "Pay to win" system, that rewards people with skills.
That frustration you feel is normal, but it's how you handle it, that defines who you are....

And I took like only 6 hours to beat it, it is fast except if you play for the difficulty, in story mode it is a tutorial.
Anyway everyone have bad control, m&k have to drag the cursor around with another cursor, sticks and crontrollers have big dead zones but maybe pc needs a bigger center area where it doesn't make the ship go the other way.
