I remember seeing in other people's posts that these were permanent unlocks. Back before they unlocked the orange crystal, mine would disappear from me when Origin wouldn't load because the servers were clogged, but reappear later. Is it possible this happened? Otherwise, anyone else have these skins unlocked permanently, or am I just remembering wrong?

I actually just kept on playing from my old completed save when I first encountered this issue. I tried visiting other planets, meditating, you name it - but it wouldn't appear. I started a New Journey+ too and reached the point where I could first customise the Mantis - *all* the other skins are there but the Vanguard that has just completely vanished.
