@PadreousMaximus ok quick update... did a reboot and clear cache again... updated the ea and epic apps, again... rebooted... started download again and it SEEMS to be working so far... ie the download seems to be happening that is... I ran the EA App update through the windows tab (bottom left) where youre given the 4 options (recover, launch, updater and error reporter) SO i ran the update to EA App through THAT, and now its downloading...
