PS4 Error on Star Wars...What is the Fix?

Anyone else that can't sign in on PS4 calling for an "update of the application"? I just paid $120 for this game and it won't start??? CE-24632-8. What is the deal??? ====> What is the fix?

If you're still receiving this error, restart your PlayStation 4 then start your game.

Hello everyone!

The team is aware of the issue and they are working on it. When more updates are available, they shall be posted in that thread and the article will be updated as well.

For now, please continue to have your discussion in this one thread and dont create more on the same problem. I have already merged several threads here and future threads will be merged here as well.

I will mark this post as a temporary solution, to increase its visibility BUT please keep in mind the problem is not by any means solved yet.

Right there with you. Bought the Ultimate Edition and I'm stuck listening to my friends play because the game won't let me in. Everything is downloaded and updated

Same issue here. Seeing on the Battlefront forums that delete/reinstall is not fixing the problem for others. Other solutions? It appears this is limited to the Ultimate edition.
EDIT: I'm getting a slightly different error number than OP listed. CE-34632-8

Same here. Spent $120 and downloaded it a second time for nothing. Should have known it was going to be like this.

I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of Star Wars Battlefront about a week ago on my PS4.
PS4 is running current operating system.
All Battlefront files downloaded and installed without any issues. This weekend I saw a 1.0.2 patch install. Tonight I'm trying to load the game (yes, I'm in the playable time frame) and it gives me this error every time:
"To use this application you must update it.
To check the download status of the update file, select [Notifications] > [Downloads]
(CE-34632-8)"
When I click on the Battlefront app and tell it to check for an update, it says the current version is installed.
I hope to hell I don't have to delete and reinstall this game as it took 8 bloody hours to download.
Pretty unhappy considering I dropped $120 on the pre-order.
