  • Yes, the Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS 4 works for Squadrons on the PS4 and PC. I'm not sure if it will work on the PS5, however.

On a side note, the Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS One works for Squadrons on Xbox One (probably Series X/S as well, as MS said all Xbox One controllers will be supported on the Series) and PC.

  • @HPC713 It does, but: 1) be sure to plug it in BEFORE launching the game; 2) The throttle slider is not working in the game for me - I've had to resort to using the throttle rocker for boosts/braking (with the PS button toggled to red) for now. :[
Everything responded in the TM control panel app prior to starting the game, so I don't know what's up.
  • The X-55 right now does not work. I consider this pretty much false advertising at this point and am requesting my money back. This is the top article when googling 'PS4 HOTAS Star Wars Squadrons' and it blatantly states this falsely with no correction from EA.

The 2 Thrustmaster Hotas 4 sticks we bought were useless in a week. Hopelessly jittering. The prices went from $79 to $250 on release of the game. Smells like a scam.

Scam is a real stretch. Flight sticks of all sorts have been sold out, probably thanks in large part to this game. You’re just seeing how the market works. When something becomes in high demand, the price goes nuts.

as far as the quality though, the t.flight broke for me in only a few hours of play. I wasn’t getting jittering but rather I would pull up and it’d either do it super slow or not at all. I returned the stick and have been using the controller. Which has been fine but my throttle control has become garbage. Ah well.

Once sticks are back in stock, I’ll give it another go.

Bought mine well ahead of SW Squadrons release for 80 Euros, but it broke while playing Elite.: Dangerous. Severe stick drift... Had it replaced and the new one works fine. If it breaks down again, I'll demand another replacement. Kind of annoying, but that is what warranty was invented for.

@GRDNANGL172 agreed... my hotas 4 stick lasted less than a week as well.. overall its was bang for buck..but the quality of the product is questionable.. i've probably only gone through 10-15 games on squadron and 5 games on AC7.. n it just started drifting.. loosening the stick tension, adding dead zones still doesnt help.. gave up on mine and sent it in for warranty..
  • We should receiving the replacements from ThrustMaster anytime now. It was a month and a half of emailing the requested information back and forth. If you get a bad Hotas, email thrustmaster technical support. You’ll have to connect it to a pc to show the stutter in a video you send them. We didn’t have to ship the broken ones back, just send pictures of the usb cords cut. We missed over a month of play because of the problem. Something for people to consider before putting money into one of these.
