At least you guys get to actually connect. All I get is "Connecting..." and "You must be signed in to your EA account." I can't even view my stats or play single player.
PS4 is currently in DMZ on my router, and it has connected occasionally so it's not port forwarding or anything on my end. Netflix, Amazon, and other games all work also, so it's not my connection to PSN. I don't have trouble with other online games, so it's nothing on my provider side (Wide Open West) unless SWBF does some weird network stuff that the Battefield series didn't.
Other stuff I've tried with no joy:
- Reboot the cable modem and router (both Netgear equipment)
- Force-close app and re-launch
- Full reboot of PS4
- Interrupt a network test and go back in to the game
- Sign out of PS4 and back in
- Verified UPNP is on
-Verified no other apps are running and there's no streaming or downloading going on anywhere else on the network.
Next step is trying to contact EA to see if there's something wonky with my EA account.
I'm getting to the point of calling Visa and having them reverse the charge, because I highly doubt Game Stop will refund my money.
