Raise the Spire of Miktrull impossible

I've been trying now for 4-5 hours to throw the candle at the column in the tomb of miktrull in order to get out of the tomb and must admit defeat. It's impossible.

If I hold the sphere in my hand using PULL and quickly use PUSH to throw it, it will send it back in the direction the character was in when it first PULL the sphere.

This makes sending sphere with a good aim impossible. This is clearly a bug due to the fact the my PC is not a supercomputer.

I edited the config file in order to use LOW graphic to get more speed and even then, it's impossible to throw a sphere correctly.

Is there a cheat, patch, something that can be done? If not, I guess I'll have to mourn my Jedi and move on the something else.

    Did you raise the spire with the rope first, lowerin the vine-covered chain? what controller are you using? Never had a problem at all with a mouse + keyboard. When you pull the candle, you have to hold onto it as you walk over to the chain (not to close b/c water will destroy the candle), then throw it when you're close enough and facing it. 

    If you are using a keyboard, I found remapping 1, 2, and 3 to these keys helped with being able to press them more effectively:

    V = Pull
    G = Push
    T = Slow
