I have also decided to hold off playing SW Squadrons, until the background stars are fixed.
It breaks immersion too strongly. I really want to enjoy the Star Wars experience and how the Devs meant the game to be played.
hate to burst your cute lil bubble bro but thats never gonna happen this is just something you have to deal with as things in the distance in vr will never be sharp hence every space vr game having the same blurry stars
- @NecroToxxiN Take a look e.g. into Elite Dangerous.

Same - waiting for a resolution fix. I want to save my happy for the "real" launch.
@NecroToxxiN Hate to burst your large ego bubble, but try to get a VR headset and see what the SteamVR environment looks like when your not using the default room.
It has stars.
They are clear.
It can be done easily.
And already done in many other games.
kthxbyeWe did it! This issue is now listed in the 'Top Forum Reports - Under Investigation' section. Thanks @Straatford87!

Hopefully soon we can enjoy the stars in Star Wars. 🙂"Some" players? There are VR players who see sharp stars? Anyway good to see it's being addressed.
Hope it'll be fixed, but I'm still enjoying "Blob Wars: Squadrons" in the meantime.
I think it’s probably a case of people in such low resolution headsets that the stars look normal. The higher the resolution headset, the worse the stars likely are. On my Pimax 8KX it looks absolutely horrendous. It’s extremely distracting when everything else looks stunning.
The cockpit, ships, and everything else looks incredible, but the background on a high resolution headset makes it feel as if I have a low resolution space poster taped to the cockpit windows. It lacks depth of an endless universe and really breaks immersion in VR.

Also, my understanding is that the resolution is set to 0.8 pixel density and the file won't allow it to stay changed if you update it.
I have a Rift S, my buddy on an original Rift says it looks blurry to him.
My issue isn't just the skybox, it's the entire resolution of the game.
@NecroToxxiN Oh dear... we have a dummy here. It has nothing to do with VR... they deployed a low resolution skybox for consoles and implemented no way to change it for PCVR. For Elite Dangerous, users needed to edit the .xml with: <TextureSize>4096</TextureSize> to have decent stars. Enjoy your bubble.
@buddhabear66 Nobody in VR is seeing anything other than the low quality skybox texture they deployed for consoles, the EA staff member just framed the issue incorrectly on the forum, because they probably don't realise it's the actual texture file in the game and not a compatibility bug.
Brother,
just ignore this troll. He's clearly baiting. Just act as if his post wasn't there, the Devs won't be influenced by this wizard.
