@Reposter I love playing empire. I try to whenever I can, but it's exceptionally easier to play NR, when playing with friends and we get randomly assigned NR, we just laugh and enjoy playing the game on EZ mode. Cannonically though, the A,X,B,Y wings were much tankier than the imperial ships, and the TIEs are much slower than they are in canon, so it kind of makes sense that it would be balanced that way. It would be nice to have it be more balanced but the truth is most people like to play rebel, so we're stuck being the sort of NPC antagonists for them.
- @Reposter I am only one person. But I can say that between the two it's far easier to play as NR, doesn't mean they win more, I can't say that with any sort of realistic certainty at all. You'd need someone like one of the game's developers with access to metrics to give that answer objectively.
