Thanks. I have a dumb follow up question. Since I launch my game from Steam, how do I logistically go about logging it into the account of another user, so they can have their owns saves? It will be easy to create a new account for my kids, but I'm not sure how I will switch the game between accounts. Maybe this will be obvious when I try it out, but all guidance is welcome.
Appreciate the help!
Unfortunately I don't know the answer to that question (on PS4 here). Perhaps a PC player can advise?
Now that I think about it, wondering if this would work? Create separate Windows user accounts for the kids > install steam using your account login the game (assuming only person logged in at a time) and install the game under each account. I'm thinking having their own windows account and game install resolves the saves issue and using only your steam login should do the trick?
Hmmm... This is sounding like a real pain. I am hoping I can just find a way to bring up that initial EA account login screen, which I only saw the first time I launched, and can change to a different EA account and different set of saves there.
Has anyone solved this problem for themselves yet? I can't be the only one who's got this issue.
Does anyone know from where Steam gets its info regarding to what EA account you are signed in? Is it pulled from the Origin app? Is it internal to the Steam interface somewhere? I can't find it yet.
A few updates on failed attempts.
1) Changing which Origin account you're logged into does not help. Squadrons still launches into the same EA Account.
2) Logging into a different steam account with family sharing does not seem to work. When I try to open Squadrons from the second account, the launch button says "Purchase" instead of "Play," even though all the other Steam games I looked at said "Play." Something about Squadrons seems to have disabled Steam Family Sharing. This Reddit thread suggests family sharing is disabled for Squadrons.
I'm close to giving up on this. Really surprising, but it seems like only one person can play the campaign at a time.
@jeffnebraska Is there any update regarding this? I am also interested.
