Re: Crashing During Gameplay (GTX 850M)

@vanguard185 Hey, one thing that immediately comes to mind is heat management on laptops. If dust has built up in the meantime that could be causing things to heat up the hardware might be shutting down to protect against damage.

Can you check the vents, and ensure everything is clear, and run some temperature monitoring when you play? It'll be worth noting whether the heat spikes up before the crashes happen.

Thanks.

I tested the temperatures while playing. I was able to play for about 30-40 minutes this time. The CPU temp started to rise pretty quickly and the last I looked before it crashed it was in the very high 80's. There was a lot happening in the game right before it crashed so it probably fluctuated into the 90's. Let me know what you think, but I'm thinking over heating is probably my problem. I had monitored the GPU's temp before I got on here and it was fine. I didn't really think about monitoring the CPU though. So I think I'm going to take off the back cover of the notebook and blow it out, and get a cooling pad to put under it.

    Thanks for the help @EA_David
