@desertdweller56 You could try looking in the Windows Event Log after a failed launch. Right-click on the start menu button and select Event Viewer, then when it finishes loading the logs look at Windows Logs|Application and Windows Logs|System. I had issues with both Easy Anti-Cheat and Updating which were reported in there.
My final solution was to uninstall the game and re-install, four or five installs in total, because I got problems caused by failed updates which sound similar to what you describe.
