Re: Game executables have green pause icons

Typing shell:games and copying a shortcut from there does show the correct icon. However not all games are available there. The actual .exe is still broken somehow and I should not have to go trough all those steps to get this working. If I sound annoyed that is because I am because this has been a problem for me ever since I started playing Battlefield 4 on my previous PC.

No worries! You are fine. I also think everything should work as intended, but PC is a very complicated platform, and some issues are really hard to reproduce. I`ve had the same issue once with Dragon Age Inquisition icon on Windows 7. But it was resolved after some Windows update. Can you gather a  DxDiag for us, and I will forward your information to our tech department to take a closer look.

This problem has occured to me with I believe every Frostbite-game I've played this far and only those. It also happened on my previous PC but it would be a lot of trouble to boot that up to gather a DxDiag. Doing it on this system was no problem but where do I attach the report?

I'd just like to point out that Mass Effect: Andromeda is now suffering from this vicious bug as well. It is most definitely related to the Frostbite engine although there does not appear to be anyone that has actually fixed it at this point.

And thank you for additional information. I must say we are having hard time reproducing this bug. But we will keep trying. So have you played Mass Effect: Andromeda already? Any thought, you can share with us here on the game?

Not available in Europe yet (unfortunately). I have it preloaded which is enough to notice the bug, though. Game looks amazing from what I've seen so far, can't wait! 🙂

Also having the exact same issue with all Frostbite games I've installed so far.
Everything is up to date software wise and even tried reinstalling the games without any success

Where do you type shell:game. im kinda lost here
