Re: GPU does not support DirectX 11.0 which is required.

If you do not have the ACTUAL (desktop) GPU, that can explain things.  A normal laptop downgrade of performance for a normal desktop to laptop adaptation has always been in the range of 15% all the way up to a 30% reduction from the desktop level.  But since nVIDIA chose another route, the difference is far too frequently 100% because the "Optimus" simply doesn't work, and the game refuses to work with the Intel IGP that is the only video that runs.

If it's really a desktop after all, you've plugged your display cable into the wrong port!

It is an actual desktop, but why would I only have this issue with this game and no others?

nVIDIA has lost its way in keeping up with its hardware.  Their drivers have problems not unlike the issues already referenced with their mobile GPUs.  I've been unable to recommend their products for quite some time due to bad drivers lately, and bad mobile computer video for about 4-5 years now.

Try other drivers.  Make sure that cable is connected properly, snugly, and the locking screws have been tightened.
