Re: Intel HD4000 and Star Wars Battlefront

My Intel HD card is 4000 not 4400 or 4600. I only bought it one year ago!  It will not accept the driver being demanded by Origin. Direct x and all other drivers for my i7 3rd generation laptop have been updated. I have configured Battlefront to run windowed.   I am still left with the same black screen as before.

EA really needs to provide for graphics cards of slightly lower spec. What are the chances that Intel will provide a suitable driver any time soon?

Looks like I may have to ask for a refund.

This isn't slightly lower spec. Intel HD graphics aren't cards but integrated graphics chipsets that aren't meant for gaming. To support Intel HD graphics, they would have to lower their standards significantly.

Note that the error referring to driver versions is wrong. The hardware isn't supported at all, no matter which driver version you have. I think EA should update that error message.
