Re: Internet connection issue with Battlefront on PC

@Kresaa

Well you say you are not "rubber-banding", but it sounds like more of a "stutter"?  Is this how you would describe it?  You kind of twitch and hang for a quick second when you are running?

If so, try to disable Origin In-game, as this is a big cause of "stuttering".

To disable Origin In-Game, follow these steps:

1. Open your Origin Client
2. Click "Origin" in the left corner, and click "Application Settings"
3. Click "Origin In Game" on the left side of the window
4. Un-check the box next to "Enable Origin In Game"
5. Boom...Done

Post back and let me know how it goes.

    Hey,
    Thanks for the response,
I can give it a try, but does Stuttering related to Ping in any way? Because i dont have this issue when i am hosting survival or playing solo / offline.
Update : I tried it, didnt have any effect.

I think it does related to the fact that i am having 100ms as an average ping, the "Wi-Fi" like icon that is shown in-game when i open the scoreboard is always a little grayer than it is for other players ( for them its white ).

I just trying to figure out if there is anything i might be able to do to solve this since this is only happening to me in Battlefront ( and before that in DA:I ).

Sort off out of topic but  i ordered a long cable and am going to drill a hole and put a direct connection to my PC from the router in the living room, i dont know if its going to help but i aint losing anything from having a little less radiation in my room anyhow ^^.

Ok well do you have any other overlay programs running?  These could cause the issue as well.

However, you did mention that you are seeing the connection issue symbol in the corner, so this may be attributed to either your Wifi, or the servers you are connecting to, or a combination of both.  Getting wired into the router with an Ethernet cable is a good step forward.

One other thing to try (if you havent already) is to switch your matchmaking region to the nearest to you.

Try switching your Matchmaking region to see if that helps.

    1. While on the main menu, go to the Settings tab
    2. Go to EA Account Settings
    3. Switch your region to the nearest to you. If you are in the US, try both East and West

I tried closing everything i seen, and i am located closest to Europe servers ( I tried Asia just in case but was getting 300-400 ping there ).
I dont think i can improve my connection any farther ( beside the physical connection that i am going to make in a few days ),
My ISP isnt known for being that good, and i did notice a decrease / increase in this issue when i was joining servers with like 10 less or more ping.
If the physical connection wont help then i guess i got nothing else to do... its just weird that this effect only happens in those 2 games,
i am 99% sure it is caused by the way EA or Dice handled the network coding and the way it starts effecting players with slower connections, because after all every game has its own network coding, and its own weird issues.
Anyhow thanks for trying to help!
I guess i will need to think about moving to a more expensive ISP if the physical connection wont help.
