That's the problem, the aim is going all over the place, there's a key in the options that let's you reset the position of the crosshair when you press it, find it and rebind it to something easy to access to (most likely a mouse button). It's far from a perfect solution but it can help you.
Mouse sensitivity should be low otherwise you will never be able to control it to get it back to the dead zone where your ship doesn't move. Mouse screen motion range should be as low as you feel comfortable using, the bigger it is the easier you can control your turns but you will lose reaction time to turn to the other side as you will have to travel more screen with your mouse, the smaller it is the easier you can change in which side you turn but the less control over the turn rate you have. I personally sit at 20% and 50%.

@GRDNANGL172I'd counter with rudders for Yaw, Stick X-Axis for Roll. You can get some very smooth flying when using 'correct' controls. I see so many clips and streams where people are just yawing and pitching like crazy and never rolling, but rolling into the same plane as the target makes shooting A LOT easier.

@GRDNANGL172 Well money is a problem and I'm confident they will fix the issue at some point so I'll just stick with m&k. ^^
