same thing here, tried reinstalling both origin and the game. no fix. this is ridiculous, last time i buy a game from ea.

I see no mention here of one really old fix from long ago that is always worth trying: shut down an AV and test without it. If the game works, then you need to get more specific. Enable only one function at a time to test which one is incompatible, and only disable that one, instead of every protection bundled in the AV.
