Hey folks,

Yep, you can play in VR. I've added further clarifications below.

You can use these supported headsets to play on PC:

  • HTC Vive
  • Oculus Rift
  • Valve Index
  • Windows Mixed Reality compatible headsets+

To play in VR on PC (Origin/EA Desktop/Epic launcher)

  • Connect and power up your VR headset.
  • Make sure the software for your headset is updated and running.
  • Download and install SteamVR, if you haven’t already.
    • SteamVR is not required if you’re using an Oculus Rift headset.
    • Don’t have a Steam account? Create one here
  • Click Play on Star Wars: Squadrons.
  • Choose your settings and customize your Pilot.
  • Confirm you want to play in VR.

PC (Steam)

  • Connect and power up your VR headset.
  • Click Play on Star Wars: Squadrons
  • Confirm you want to play in VR.
  • Want to turn VR on or off?
  • You can turn VR on or off anytime from the pause menu in-game.
  • Choose Options.
  • Choose VR Settings.
  • Toggle VR on or off.

PlayStation 4

  • Using the PS VR headset:
  • Make sure your PS VR headset is powered on and connected to your PlayStation.
  • To turn off VR at any point, switch off your PS VR headset.

I hope this helps!

You get the same game specific pre-order content across platforms. Anything Fortnite is specific to Epic.

  • I can't wait to play Squadrons in VR once my HP Reverb G2 Windows Mixed Reality Headset arrives! I hope Squadrons will work with it without a hitch.

@Straatford87 I tried this (with my Oculus Rift) with and without Steam VR active in the background.

I start the game, go to options and click "toggle VR".

In my headset a squadrons screen pops up (with no dialog) for like 2 seconds, then the whole game stops and I am back in windows.

I got the game with my gold membership in the EA origin store.

What do I have to do, to get VR running?

  • I'm confused.. I have an oculus quest + link. I installed origin, and bought squadrons. Do I now need to install and have steamvr running in order to play the origin game?

I started Star Wars Squaddrones and selected Toggle VR everything worked but I can´t use my Controllers. I´m using a Valve Index Headset and the Valve Index Controllers
