@Willow_SW I find a good combination is ion + proton. Ion > shields and subsystems, Proton > everything but shields (not to say you can't use them vs shields but that's what ion is for).

@Robbiesan11True dat, one of my more used loadouts is ion/proton bombs.
Use it on the corvettes, or later run on the capital ships.
