Thank you for playing the game and coming to chat to us about it!
Thanks for uploading the video. But jeez, that's some really bad stuttering you have there. I'm sorry to see that, and I understand it's not fun playing the game like that.
Since you experienced similar stuttering in another title (Steep), I do have a suspicion it might be caused by something on your system. Definitely not by the specs, but I'm thinking more about settings, such as:
- Is your system overclocked? If so, have you tried lowering the OC?
- Is your system perhaps overheating?
- Have you tried closing all background programs? I've seen similar stuttering happen due certain applications such as motherboard or overclocking software
I already read in the other thread that you're on an SSD. So that can't be it either. Still, could you upload a dxdiag so I have some additional info about your system?
Hi there!
So, after going back to an old NVIDIA driver and seeing my major slow down still happening, I realized that it was not only slowing down...but I kept moving in a specific direction, even though I wasn't pressing anything. This lead me to believe it was something with the source of that signal--my wireless XBox controller. So, I changed the batteries in the controller....and so far, it's not happening. My own dumb fault for not thinking of that first.
I will see if this keeps happening but I think that was the issue.
Thanks for your help--and patience!
best,
mike
- @Straatford87 I'm also still experiencing stuttering. Not as bad as rikemomo, but the game first runs absolutely smooth for a while, then just stops for a few seconds and then goes on. I had a similar issue with Rise of the Tomb Raider when playing in DirectX12 mode. Apart from that my framerate is excellent and everything works fine, also in other games.
I tried a lot of things to counter the issues, also increasing process priority for the game and of course close everything in the background not needed, which means basically everything but Windows processes...
The Unreal 4 engine is pretty CPU hungry, but stutters like that really shouldn't happen when everything else runs fine.
I also created a bug report about that actually. There is a different stuttering issue, which i am 100 % sure, applies to everyone, SSD or not, octacore or quad core, doesn't matter.
These stutters occur when the game loads in new assets, and usually post no problem to the gameplay.
Sometimes however you pass these transition area's during a fight and it is pretty annoying. The game will here drop a couple of frames to like 300 ms...
Like i said, usually it happens only when travelling, but sometimes it can happen during combat because the load transition marker is in the wrong place, or whatever they call it inhouse.- Straatford876 years ago

Great news! That was definitely a weird one, so good to hear you figured it out. If you come across any new issues, definitely hit us up via a comment on these forums.
Hey Unwary!
- Yes, that's all the premium content.
- There is a Tundra Mantis skin, but it was exclusive to certain retailers. There's currently no other way to get it
- Yep!
For rikemomo it appears that the batteries in his controller were causing the stuttering. Could that be the same for you?
I'll also take a look at your Bug Report shortly to see if I can figure out what's happening based on that.
Thanks for the additional details!
- UnwaryCoin6 years agoSeasoned Ace@Straatford87 Thanks! Was it included on the BD-1 card?
- UnwaryCoin6 years agoSeasoned Ace@UnwaryCoin I have two more questions
1. If I redeem the Tundra BD-1 code on PS4, will the Xbox One and PC codes still be usable?
2. Does anyone have a photo of the Tundra Mantis? - @Straatford87 No controller here. I'm playing with mouse and keyboard, none of which is wireless.
The slowdowns/freezes coincide with my CPU being at 100%, so I am pretty sure it's the way the game (or actually the engine) handles CPU resources.
My bug report is here:

Please adjust the rendering and crashing errors in the game, the EA Games team works so hard and so well to create free belts for the star wars battlefront 2, and I really appreciate it, and the bf2 errors are always resolved now those of the Jadi Game fallen order, do not have the same affection in fixing your mistakes and will not even generate more free content, I think that because the jadi fallen order is a single player, you have no interest in reversing and fixing your bugs. - UnwaryCoin6 years agoSeasoned Ace@UnwaryCoin I can now answer all three of my questions. Yes, yes, and I do.
