Hi @irudite,
There won't be a way to revert to an early save unless you have multiple saves created. You can check on the main menu before continuing with the game, chose load instead and it should show the game saves available to continue from.
Failing that though, could you please open a bug report for this and add in any additional information you feel is relevant.
