That last session had some great teamwork, one of the best we've had I think. It made winning much easier against the 'pros'.
Team work is essential to being able to compete. Also there needs to be discipline in the squad and a leadership structure. If you go off and do your own thing you will get lots of points but your team will suffer because they will not be able to counter the oppositions tactics effectively. When playing against an organised team they will use tactics that you can only counter if you are also organised.
@Merc_Securitycompletely disagree with that statement...The faction inbalances is the only strategy used. Ask yourself why the clans have over 200 to 300 flight hours in dogfight as rebels against 10 to 15 hours playing as Empire?
It's not about strategies or counter strategies, it's because the NR is the favored faction that can be spammed due to the recent buffs, their 2 bomber classes, and the reinforced shields available to them.
If the workhorses of the Empire were left untouched, but unfortunately both got nerfed (TIE Bomber/TIE Defender) then chances are new pilots can still get a hold and at least stand a chance against these NR "pros". There's no strategy when you are left alone to carry the weight of your team.
Hi @Edairman198526 , thank you for your comments. My comments were specifically related to Ranked Fleet Battles - this was not clear in my post so apologies. I agree totally with your statement regarding dogfights. It is not something that we encourage or practice in [TAW], we believe in honour, fairplay, loyalty and friendship. If members are found to be exploiting glitches or cheats such as members queuing on both sides of a ranked fleet battle and then leave the side that does not have any clan mates so the other side is forced to play on with 4 or quit - they will be dishonorably discharged and will not find a place in our community. We have a strong code of ethics and no one - I repeat - no one in [TAW] is above our code.
