It's longer when you crash I think, rather than get shot down, but yeah, it would be nice if it were shorter.
Agree on both. Respawn timer too long and once your team is down hard you're swarmed on spawn anyway.
Would also like to see the pre-battle timer cut in half.
I'm able to go through every person's stats in the lobby, and still pop out a couple of emotes.
And still have time to get bored waiting....

Disagree. People have lives, must pee, etc. If you want quality teammates, then good things come to those who wait.
If you want "ready up, ready up, READY UP!!!" people, then you will get exactly the team you deserve.
(and a lot more people dropping from matches)
- 6 years ago@Billkwando Understand what you're saying, not trying to make it a rush job, but after waiting a random amount of time to get a match, 2 minutes seems like forever.
I do all my setups and loadout changes offline, by the time I actually queue in to play all I need to do is pick my ship, so for myself I can't comprehend the reason for such a long prep time.
And if I need to pee, I just exit the queue, and rejoin the wait list when I get back.
Not trying to be an *, just following up on the discussion.
Maybe you can explain to me why people drop at all from the wait room, I know the matchmaking sucks but we all know it does, so why not take the random crap you get and just get on with the flying? (I fly solo and no comms so I may be part of the problem)- Billkwando6 years agoRising Vanguard

(I fly solo and no comms so I may be part of the problem)The wait room (assuming you mean the pre-game lobby) should be a safe place to drop from, and the fact that it's not is totally counter-intuitive. Likely the droppers have no idea, and assume another player will fill their slot, just like if someone drops out before the countdown reaches zero in Battlefront 2. It's really dumb that they made it this way.

@BillkwandoThe timer should decrease based on how many people have readied up. If more than half is ready to go, then the entire lobby shouldn't have to wait. There have been cases where 9/10 were ready and there was still a minute before match start. Battlefield games and Battlefront have way longer matches and the time between them is still shorter than getting into another match in squadrons where matches are like 10 minutes. It does not make sense.
