I'm sorry to hear the battlefront season pass didn't work out for you. The European servers don't have this problems in the weekend. I bought the ultimate edition a few weeks ago and didn't encounter this problem at all. Unlocked all the weapons and star cards a week ago.

I'm in North America West.
Really, a lot of this could be solved with a server browser. Bad Company 2 will be 7 years old in March, and I can still get into a game anytime I want.
