@N16H7-W1N6 I believe to have found the issue. I myself like everyone else was experiencing this same issue. Verified files, reinstalled the game, restarted, let the .exe through the AV, got in touch with support, I did it all basically. It looks like the game is looking for a file that the newest Microsoft update has. I was on the previous 2004 build and updated to 20H2, along with some additional framework and library updates, and it resolved the issue for me. Have been able to play with no issues. To further solidify my point, I went ahead and rolled back my OS to the previous 2004 build and the problem came back. I highly encourage you all to update anything from the settings menu if you can.

@AnatoliBlin Thanks for your answer.

I'm already on Windows 10 and everything is updated.

The point is :

 

        -  The issue appears for the first time just after the 10/28/2020 update (1.3) and it was only a EA patch with the 2.0 update that fix it one week later.

 

         - The issue strikes back the 11/12/2020, juste after the the 4.0 update and it was a EA patch that fix it again the 12/12/2020.

 

         - The issue cames back again the 12/17/2020 just after the 4.1 update. no patch yet, no fix.

So, if the issue comes from a missing file in Windows that implies that the file is deleted after each update reported above?

I have even try to come back to a previous version of Windows 10 just from before the first issue appears, but that fix nothing.
