@DevilRelmThat system is below min spec, but to be honest if the game runs anyway it should be fine and I'm not sure it'd have that dramatic an effect on load times.
The load time is more likely to be related to your hard drive. By any chance is it low on space? if so can you try clearing space and try again.
If you have multiple hard drives (or even an SSD) you could try moving the game to a new drive.
To do so click Origin in the top left of the Origin client, then Application Settings > Advanced. Change your install location then close Origin. Move the Battlefront game folder to the new location then start Origin back up and it should detect the game in the new location.

Thanks for the reply - the hard drive has 80 Gb free so I doubt that is the reason...

Laptops don't allow many upgrades, other than storage and memory. You can boost both of those for better performance. Laptop hard drives typically are slow to save battery life; you may want to replace that component with a faster drive.
