I just read where someone else figured out a way around this issue which worked for me. If you hold whatever key you have bound to force pull while pressing the force push key, it works as expected.
YES, that's the way I do it too. Hold onto the force pull button until you are ready to let it go. Then just do a force push and it will fly our of your hand.
- @Stick1816 Nope no use if i hold on to it and use force push i just lets go of the lantern
