Splitscreen co-op available in the 40 person multiplayer battles?

My wife and I are excited about Battlefront, but would like to know if we would be able to play together (splitscreen) on a single Xbox One, and take part in the larger 40 player multiplayer battles?  I've heard that splitscreen/local co-op may only be available on the Missions.

We have thousands of hours in Borderlands (local splitscreen storyline play, not multiplayer), and are excited for another game that can offer hundreds more hours of enjoyment.

A chat rep from EA said splitscreen would be available in the larger 40 person battles, but another rep said it wouldn't be available.  Just left me a bit confused before I decide to pre-order or not.

Anyone have any info on this?

    As a customer, this is not an "Accepted Solution". This has become a basic expectation from the gaming community over the past decade. Are there any plans to resolve this? Give us a downgraded graphics option if frame rate is your true concern, which lets be honest, it's not. A husband and wife, or parent + child, should not have to purchase multiple consoles to play the same game.
