Squadrons returns to desktop - no message

I have both Epic and Steam versions and tried both. The game starts (EAC spash screen disapears and I get the Octagon/Circle screen with the blinking dots in the square) and then it returns to deskto...

I haven't had Origins installed for a while now. I just checked and I do not have any remnants of it on my system..

I tried unlinking my EA account with both Steam and Epic. When I launch the Steam version of the game it doesn't ask to link my EA account (still fails) and my Epic version asks to link the account and I redid that but it also failed to launch.

Thanks for the update! would it be possible to try the workaround shared here?

If this continues, could we get one more DxDiag and an EA app Error ID?

No luck creating a new user. I had already tried that but I upgraded the user to an admin and set all my privacy settings to default. I also logged into windows (I normally run a local account) and made sure OneDrive was working (it's normally working but I don't use it). Nothing has changed to crashdump error message.

Hey, @EA_Illium, what would it take to convince EA to allocate some resources to get this game a patch to fix the bugs and review the balance and quality of life requests that have been made?

@EA_Illium No, just a question related to this issue since it seems to be a consistent problem over the last 3 years.
