Squadrons won't be a fine addition to my collection.
Oh, I'm afraid Squadrons will be quite absent from my collection when October arrives.
Was pretty interested and keen for the game until I saw gameplay footage. Just didn't do it for me, sadly.
User interface and its colours are kinda an eye-sore and makes the game feel 20 years old. Cockpits blocking sections of visibly and having to always navigate energy to different parts of the ship just seems like it'll end up being a headache (didn't think it'd bother me at first). And you can just tell PC scrubs will hack out an aim-bot exploit a month or two after release. Good luck to cross-players.
Character / ship cosmetics are too plentiful for something players will basically never see. Not exactly a bad thing, but at the same time a bit pointless. Keen for the canon story though, but I guess I'll just watch it on YouTube.
I think I'd rather just play good ol' casual Starfighter Assault if I want a Starfighter experience, and that also has the same number of maps. I'm glad hardcore pilots have got a proper SW Starfighter game though as Squadrons will definitely appeal to that audience; they've been waiting too long for a game like this.
Just gonna stick to BFII and wait for Cyberpunk 2077 I reckon.
Anyone else have similar feelings?
