They've actually confirmed the game is canon...

It’s a marketing ploy. The game is not canon. Remember how they said that force unleashed was supposed to be canon? How did that fail. Likewise SW BF2 was canon until the fans demolished Disney and made it none canon.

nothing in game is canon. Until the game is received well. It’s like how we all destroyed the force awakens, and last Jedi. To the point it’s no longer canon either. 

So we we will have to see how it is received, and then allow lucasArts (a division of Disney) to decide what specifics of it are canon and what are not. So it does not prevent them from adding none canon stuff for the sake of fun. And say after.

PS- it seems like darth jar jar theory is being considered to be made canon based on the comics, and we know it’s  not canon. We know darth bane’s holocron is canon, and it has Revans information in it. We know palpatine has it.  So in theory it is possible for Cal to find it and go to the shadow lands to find the first Star map.

as they have confirmed this game has secrets- and game informer made it sound like they have some old republic references to the saber owned by master Satele Chan.  Which was destroyed in the fight on Corussent. 

So so anything is possible

Ye thanks for fixing that. I played that story quest a while ago. Could not remember the exact planet. But yes

you dont need an official statement to know of this event. Although legally and formally it remains canon its been disavowed by almost all the fans of both PT / OT. That should be all that should be said
