10 years agoBecause my computer's warranty has long expired and I don't want to update the driver beyond what the GeForce app states as already being up to date, lest I risk frying up the graphics card. Alot on the forums complained that the update caused black screens or unable to play any other games on their computers, resulting in rollbacks or replacing the graphics card entirely. That's why I'm asking first just to be safe, so I do have something to lose.

If you already have the answer, why are you asking us? Why don't you search nvidia drivers by yourself? You will see, by yourself, if it is or if it is not compatible.
EDIT: Besides, I had never heard about a self-destructive driver provided by own manufacturers.
