Star Wars Fallen Jedi DLC

I am looking forward to playing SW:FJ however, at only 25 hours of play time, I am waiting for some nice 8-12 hour DLCs to be released. Everyone loves the game and is waiting to throw money at you. Dont know if you guys are doing this for the joy of making games or for the money but hopefully, either way you will give people what they want. Just please dont make them a joke. Give us some MEAT. I'm going to hold out till there is either enough DLC to give me a decent play time or till it goes on sale for 1/2 off. Just letting you know.

I mentioned this on another thread. I wouldn't get your hopes up for any DLC content from the things I've heard. Fallen Order seriously took 10 years to produce. Considering the format of the game, they would have to call back cast and crew and have programmers divert their attention from the upcoming sequel in order to produce DLC in the mean time. All that being said, I would bet that some sort of DLC may end up available as a teaser for the sequel next year, that would make sense to me. The sequel has been rumored to come out in 2021 (my guess is November), which is an excruciatingly long wait, but great work takes time! Going back to Battlefront II after this is so disappointing, isn't it?
Keep in mind that Respawn is the company that developed SWJFO, not EA. Think of EA as the Sears of video games - they sell it, host it, and offer tech support, but they are not going to give you any new content, and we have no indication that anyone from Respawn peruses these forums. All we can do is hope that they give us cool stuff at some point going forward, and personally, their work with SWJFO speaks for the quality of the rest of their games. I have faith that the sequel will be awesome, even though I have no idea what's to come, I kinda love the surprises.

Hey @fixfireleo I am not aware of any plans to release any DLC for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

@EA_Darko That's what I read however I assume people want to make money. It's mind boggling...like the Bethesda team saying they are "tired of working on Elder Scrolls and want to do something different." I mean, we have the top rated game series of all time that is massively popular and worth around $3 BILLION but hey...let's throw all that away and make something new that MIGHT totally fail. It reminds me of many singers who release a smash it album (Toni Braxton comes to mind) and decide they "want to do something different" and it kills their entire career.

@fixfireleo Well, money isn't everything. Sometimes, once you're burned out on an idea and you've lost the spark of inspiration, it's time to put your signature on it and let it be complete. DLC would be a lot of fun, but regarding the Skyrim creators getting tired of their work, some series have been spoiled because the makers didn't know when to stop. I remember C.S. Lewis talking about why he didn't write any more Chronicles of Narnia: "Once a story stops telling itself to me inside my head, like a tap turned off, I can’t go on, and if I tried to, it would only sound forced." Video games are a great kind of entertainment, but even good entertainment has to have an ending.
Still, even if there isn't DLC, hopefully there will be a sequel to this wonderful game!

@Nathanduril Maybe. But I know if not enough people tell them they want DLC, there never will be DLC. I am a big believer in giving companies feedback. Negative AND positive. If enough people ask for something, they usually get what they want. I understand what you are saying but in the end, this is a business and businesses are in business to make money. Let's just hope for the best. At least we tried.
