star wars squadron

I just got SW Squadron and tried to play it. It doesn't appear to launch. I have tried all the "solutions" in previous posts, I have updated my nvidia drivers, I disabled my antivirus but to no avail. The game simply launches (I see in task manager) and then exits abruptly without any error codes or nothing. I am running at a typical 1920 resolution and I have 8 gig of VRAM and 32 gigs of RAM so the game should run. I verified the game files and re-downloaded them but sill nothing! I think this game needs a patch since it still has issues at game launch.

  • Hi! Unfortunately this doesn't make a difference since I have all the Microsoft Visual Studio versions installed which means I have all the updated Microsoft Visual C++ redist. This definitely is not a PC problem but an EA games problem according to other posts. This game will just not start on my pc even though I exceed its system requirements.

I think that the problem may be either the anti-cheat program or the denuvo protection that is preventing the game to start. I have already disabled my ant--virus and still the game will not start. I also found out that all my Origin games (now that I am on Play Pro) don't start!!!! What is going on here??????

  • Hey, @JonathanPho make sure that all drivers for windows are up to date.

You can also try to do a clean boot to see if there any programs messing with Star Wars: Squadrons and turn off any overlay programs for example Discord or Nvidia experience.

Worth to reinstall the GPU drivers for your PC.

Let me know if this works or not for you. 🙂

  • I tried all the recommended trips. The only one that worked (surprisingly) was to clear out my host file! Now it runs and I am totally enjoying the game!!
