This game *NEEDS* DLC.It has a ton of potential to be so much more than it is already.If they keep adding quality content they can keep Squadrons going for a long time.

Indeed.I have wondered if they were trying and experiment and the goal was to wait for us to demand DLC?But then I have to remember this is EA we're talking about and they generally aren't that intelligent or long game about these things.More likely they don't know what they're doing and surprised we're demanding DLC because they truly don't understand why people have issues with some, but not all, DLC.The question EA needs to ask is what *value* does the DLC add to the player experience?What problems does the DLC solve for the player?We need more game modes, ships, etc.But not for the sake of doing so.It needs to be purposeful and specific.Add a B-Wing and TIE Defender(or equivalent.)Give us a base assault/defense mode.1v1 & 2v2 Dogfights.8 person squads/teams.More robust ship mods.Allow players to pilot Capital Ships(with limits.)Continue the story of the Single Player Campaign.And of course fix some of the bigger flaws and bugs as quickly as reasonably possible.If the quality is there in DLC so is my money.With the right additional content and proper support Squadrons can easily become a big ESports title.It has all the right stuff, a solid foundation. It just needs that extra push to get there.

EA, you would be wise to change your "no DLC" decision. I agree with many that as is the game will likely lose players quickly except for the hardcore. Consider adding more MP modes, co-op play modes, and perhaps more story.

I think there could be:- An additional Single Player Campaign, not dedicated to preparation for multiplayer, but an independent one-Additional Multiplayer modes like 10 on 10, or CTF or base defence/attack - two simple mods will became really boooooooring soon-Reviewed level of progression in Multiplayer. Right now it is more like a sport competition for dedicated people who would like to polish their piloting skills, which makes a client base really narrow. Please, give a low/middle skilled level pilots, which are making 90% of audience something for having fun- An Editor, where people will be able to create their own missions or something like in X-Wing Alliance, where you can create waves of different ships and have fun fighting in a big space battlesRight now I see this game as a great possibility, but if it will stay "as it is" , as it was mentioned here, it will be another dead project.

@Intoxicus710 This is where we have to stay on them and tell the We are Willing to Pay. I really think this is what EA wants us to do. If there is a demand for more maps and modes they Will create them. I mainly play Dogfight and coming from being a long time RB6 guy they really should look at how RB6 evolved. The same could happen for this game. EA has a monster on their hands and they don’t seem to know.

Start supporting Aussies and other non USA players who struggle to even get a fair matchmaking with decent latency to make the game playable and ill agree to your DLC.
If they cant resolve multiplayer latency issues because of their flawed Peer to Peer connection method this games going in the dumpster for me

I dont know about DLC... but i would love to see a full-fledge EXPANSION.
Nobody does Expansions anymore.
Its the perfect middle ground between continuing development of a product, but not dribbling out content you constantly have to pay for.

Agreed! I hate when a $60 game is released as 'complete' to later be fixed by patches, DLC, and overhauls. This game is fantastic, and I wouldn't hesitate to put more money into it for extra content! Plus, that revenue will add longevity to the game, which is MUCH NEEDED as we aren't going to get another *potentially* quality PvP spaceship fighter for a while, I fear...

@RicketySprocketsBro you’re opinion is yours to own, but saying that SIMPLE DLC isn’t needed is just crazy. They could add two more ships and then focus on maps and modes. I would GLADLY pay 15$ for two new maps.Some games is all I or we have to play. ANY GAME where their is a skill gap is worthy of MORE. This is not the first 30 years of gaming.

I would absolutely buy a decent expansion pack in a few months for it. include a few missions, add in co op missions and some maps, a new ship each side
give the maps out in the update to all players so we don't split the player base.

@solidsouthcentra If anything it will encourage them to make a squadrons 2, but i bet the team has already been disbanded and moved onto other projects leaving no one left to update the game.

Ghosts of Tsushima on PS4 is an epic SP game and that's getting a HUGE multiplayer DLC on the 16th with coop story, dungeons, raids, classes etc etc insane how much they are giving for free... yet this game can't even launch with 60+ fps and working VR so don't hold your breath for DLC.

@solidsouthcentra just pray they fix the hotas mess and weirdness in VR first, making it playable in the first case.

Don't get me wrong, it looks like a fun game, but as long as I can't play it properly yet and the player pool is slimming out quickly, I won't even get to play the online competitive part before it "died" or is on life support. That's not why I buy a game, that's when I might as well just torrent it for the campaign and leave it at that.

How to kill off your paying customer's will to actually buy it 101? State VR and HOTAS support out of the box and deliver nothing of a sort?

sitting here with a Warthog Hotas and rudder + Index seriously wondering why they are not saying a peep on why literally nothing is working properly (nothing of the reasons why I bought it).

Absolutely! 🙂 An expansion pack with more maps would be nice. I don't think they will add ships as the balance currently is perfect and easy to mess up by adding a new class.

I would love to assault the death star, btw! :D
