The game launches fine via Steam, I can fly around for a bit but the game will crash to a black screen, i can hear audio for a few seconds but my CPU fan is running at full speed, which is never does ever!!
I have to power off to get anything to respond again.
Anyone else with the same issue ?

I have this exact issue and it started after the Oct 3'rd patch. I have tried all the steps provided to no avail. I am now attempting to run it on a different thou similar PC, and I am not even able to launch the game because it tells me that I have accessed the game on too many PC's and to try again later...
I should mention that in addition to their standard slew of clearing temp files, reboots, and file repairs I have even resorted to a full system format and rebuild with no change.

DICE TeamHey, @lakados @Malfius73 make sure that all drivers for windows are up to date.
You can also try to do a clean boot to see if there any programs messing with Star Wars: Squadrons and turn off any overlay programs for example Discord or Nvidia experience.
Worth to reinstall the GPU drivers for your PC.
