Star Wars Squadrons preload date keeps changing
On two seperate occasions, star wars squadrons has changed the preload date in two weeks. Why even post them if they know they are not going to be valid?

EA was altering the deal. I pray they don't alter it any further. 😢
(For me, the New Date is September 26th.)
And since I first posted, my date has changed to the 25th as well. ☹️
False alarm everybody!
Mine still seems to say today... though it's not working.
Last EA PostAs mentioned, it's nothing to worry about. The pre-load will be available soon, and in the meantime we're still making sure your ships are ready to fly full speed on launch day :-)

It was supposed to LAUNCH OCTOBER 1st see attachment. Tom says the 2nd now? This is the kind of thing why people do not like EA. I am sad EA has the StarWars IP locked up for what another 7 years?
I suppose it will launch on Steam before Origin. Crud like this is the reason I canceled Orgin/EAPlay Moving to
P.S> Madden 2021 was a disaster.That's nice that there is nothing to worry about, Tom. The annoying thing was every time the date changed I wasted an hour trying to fix my internet, reboot my computer, re-install the Origin app, and posting Origin Error reports that were ignored. Then I'd get yet another EA email saying pre-load was available for me and I'd waste time trying again.
Sigh... well I'm sure Squadrons will be worth it! 😃
got the mail about the preload today, checked origin, it says 25th.
I don't know why I would expect EA to be consistent for once.
I’m curious of the release date too, on the pre-order screen for me it shows October 1st 11pm BST, weird.
- @CarbonCarl sound about right.. got 12AM CEST here.. I'm guessing that's the stroke of midnight (GMT+1)

So what happened to the pre-load?
For me when i got the email and notification saying preload was available it kept saying “download failed” and then the date would change to a future date.
currently the Origin app on my PC says Sep 30 is my preload date.I can imagine why they are postponing the pre-load:
The keep finding and fixing bugs.. so instead of preloading something that needs replacing, they just wait.
What annoys me is that they sent the notification of pre-load for the 25th, keep postponing it and leaving us in the dark, rather than just sending a new mail apologizing for the delay.
That would be the decent thing to do.
So while we wait.. time to do some warm up by playing the old X-Wing and Tie Fighter (can be acquired from GoG).
