I had to wipe my harddrive on ps4 yesterday owing from when i rebuilt my database in safe mode I could no longer load any games. When I redownloaded the recent patch on battlefront on ps4 and loaded the game, I could not advance past that stupid vader mini game. I have refreshed my licences numerous times as well as deleted and redownloaded the game again to see if it would work. I am still stuck on that frustrating minigame. I have nothing else on my hdd other than witcher 3 and fallout 4, so there are no files from the beta. I am beyond frustrated at this point and just want it fixed so I can enjoy the bespin content tomorrow. I am using a disc copy, and am not looking for xbox or pc fixes. Thanks

Hey @F3-N15HI Darth Vader minigame will only appear when the game is not fully updated/installed. Make sure that SWBF is. What you also can do is power cycle the console that will remove any old temp files that the console may have. How to power cycle: Switch off and unplug the power from your console. Leave it unplugged for 30 seconds. Plug the power back into the console. Start it up. /Atic

that topic did not answer my question at all. am i supposed to just let my game sit on that silly mini game for hours and hours and hours on end with no progress bar? That topic offered one weak solution to digital users, as i mentioned, i have a disc copy. how do i fix this?

solution

It's not a problem, it just takes a while to install. Keep playing, or just leave the game on. Eventually it will say game is installed and press options to start. It takes a long time so just enjoy destroying rebel scum.

I will leave it on all night on this minigame in hopes of getting it downloaded in time to play content I paid for months ago. If possible, please pass along to the dev team that they should really include a progress bar as to not discourage and frustrate players.

Did it work? Because I have the same issue. I have a hard copy of the game. I play the vader mini game and all of a sudden it says disc can not be read like 15- 20 min into the mini game. I have reset licence and deleted it and let the game fully update before playing and no luck. I have left it on all night and restarted and powered down the ps4 many times. The disc is brand new so I don't understand what's going on. Plz any help would be great I really want to play this game.

It doesn't matter how long I have it on for. I had it on for 3 days. I kept checking it throughout the days and had no solution. HELP

Hello @helpme2626

I am really sorry about those troubles with game`s installation. Can you try to uninstall the game, power cycle your console (you will need to turn it off and disconnect from the power supply for a few minutes, before turning it on again) and reinstall Star Wars: Battlefront. This should fix any such issues.

I am really sorry for those issues with Star Wars: Battlefront installation. This is not a real problems, the game just needs some time for the install to finish. Have you tried those troubleshooting steps, I`ve provided in this thread? Keep us updated on this.
