Stuck on "Preparing Download" for in Origin.

Enabling "Safe Mode Downloading" did the trick for me.

Same thing happened to me, though I think nothing's wrong, if you click the little right arrow in the bottom right corner it will show something is downloading. Now if this persists for way too long it might be just that you have bad internet so it takes forever to download, if not, follow what the other dude said or seek help from EA.
