Cant seem to find any actual solutions yet, but until then turn your lighting settings down to medium, it'll atleast make the map playable. Theres still this weird lighting transition from indoors to outdoors though. Not sure how to get rid of that.
Thanks for that hint! When I turn my lighting settings down to medium, I can see everything normal again. That makes it indeed playable.
It takes away a bit of graphical immersion for me though, since I only have this problem on the Hoth Ice Cave map and turning down the settings makes every map look worse.
I was thinking if my computer specs might be the problem, but the only part which is kinda outdated is my CPU:
Win 10
Intel i7 960
12GB Ram
AMD R9 390 (latest graphics driver 15.11.1 Beta)
However, it looks more of a graphics issue. Would you mind sharing your computer specs, too? Maybe it's an AMD graphic cards issue, if everyone here is using AMD.

I'm assuming this is an AMD video issue based on your comment and another person's in the forum. I'll check if AMD has it in their driver issue reports to make sure they're aware of it. Are you running the beta drivers? I am and so is the other person reporting the issue. Wish everyone mentioned what they were running (AMD, etc.).
I'm hoping it's a beta driver issue and backing out to the previous will work for me. Will give it a try and report back. Thanks to everyone for feedback that it's an issue; however, please be more specific on the hardware you're running. 😉

Forum message of the same issue... http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/forums/discussion/10619/amd-crossfire-draw-distance-is-black-issue

Thanks for the information!
Please report back on trying out the stable release driver. Someone mentioned that it might solve the issue, see here: http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/forums/discussion/10722/solid-black-shadow
I switched to the latest beta driver because I have had more problems during the beta with the old ones. I guess it's called beta driver for a reason. 😉
In order to make AMD aware of it, I filled out their driver issue survey here: http://www.amdsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=5A1E27D23A3DE979
Moreover, I see that people in the other forums are reporting this issue coming from AMD Crossfire. In fact, I used to have AMD Crossfire with my previous graphic cards. I am wondering now if there could be some leftovers from the Crossfire drivers (which of course shouldn't be there after a fresh driver install). Have you ever used Crossfire?
