Forum message of the same issue... http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/forums/discussion/10619/amd-crossfire-draw-distance-is-black-issue
Thanks for the information!
Please report back on trying out the stable release driver. Someone mentioned that it might solve the issue, see here: http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/forums/discussion/10722/solid-black-shadow
I switched to the latest beta driver because I have had more problems during the beta with the old ones. I guess it's called beta driver for a reason. 😉
In order to make AMD aware of it, I filled out their driver issue survey here: http://www.amdsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=5A1E27D23A3DE979
Moreover, I see that people in the other forums are reporting this issue coming from AMD Crossfire. In fact, I used to have AMD Crossfire with my previous graphic cards. I am wondering now if there could be some leftovers from the Crossfire drivers (which of course shouldn't be there after a fresh driver install). Have you ever used Crossfire?

I don't have Crossfire and mine was a clean build after I bought a new mobo (Win 8.1 to Win 10) and installed the latest AMD beta driver as I typically do. I haven't had a lot of time to play and I typically get Hoth immediately every time but, of course, not on Saturday nor in 10 games that I played, so I don't know if it's working. I'll try to get some time tonight or tomorrow. I also did the bug report on the beta drivers, pointing them here and to the forum post. I added that I'd test with the release drivers and report back if they contact me back. Not heard from them as of yet. At least it's not debilitating to the game. I can live with it for a little while. 🙂

Also, in the 10 games or so, I didn't see any issues. I know that the latest beta reports that it corrected some performance issues in Battlefront.

I had this issue, especially Endor. It made the game unplayable even though I could max out the game.
I updated my drivers to 15.12 and it's seemed to have worked!
Running:
Amd FX-4130 CPU
Radeon R9 280X
8GB RAM- 9 years ago
Can't believe that I'm seeing this issue in 2017 again. Disabling CFX fixes this, but as soon as you enable it, the issue returns.
Adjusting Lighting settings doesn't help (lowering to Med). Only disabling CFX has any effect.
Disabling MSI Afterburner doesn't help either. AMD Gaming Evolved isn't installed.
Running the latest AMD Radeon Live drivers.
Any suggestions?

I updated to the new Beta drivers on my AMD and I get the same issue. It is only on the Hoth ice cave map for me. When I was on the old driver all the maps worked fine but the crash issues were terrible. Guess I will just avoid that map for now. Thanks for taking the time to put the report in to AMD.

I installed the latest AMD driver release 15.11 (Crimson Edition) as stated in the sticky thread of this forum.
Unfortunately, it doesn't solve the problem for me. I hope AMD will fix it with the next driver release.

same here, had hopes for the crimson drivers but no effect
the lighting to medium works
fyi: turning off CPU throttling fixed a LOT of issues in the menu's for me (and with the audio)
this is the only game ive known to have issues with this
just a tip
