SW Fallen order performances issues

Hi, i have a performance issue with SW Fallen order, im barely reaching 60fps in 4k.

Heres my specs:

i9-9900k

2x2080ti

32gb ram

My graphic settings are all at epic except for shadows which is at medium.

I saw a gameplay footage on IGN which was running in 4k 60fps but with lower specs then mine, heres the link to the steam thread https://steamcommunity.com/app/1172380/discussions/0/3342162929518406194/

And this is the link to the footage https://ca.ign.com/videos/2019/11/15/the-first-21-minutes-of-star-wars-jedi-fallen-order-in-4k-60fps

  • Same for me.
When i look at the sky or ground it hits 144fps. Also in menu.
If i look just forward it drops to 60-50fps.
Tried all settings and resolutions, performance not changing at all. (maybe 1-3 frames boost).

    specs are 2080ti, i7-7700k, 16gb ram.

This is what I'm thinking (some kind of texture streaming issue).  I have nowhere near the specs as the OP, but I have pretty bad stuttering; sometimes it'll be humming along clost to 60fps, then all of a sudden become a slideshow for a few seconds (we're talking under 15fps) for no discernible reason.  Same issue as others here in which dropping all the settings down to medium (and even dropping the resolution down to 720p) makes absolutely no difference.  Gotta be something wrong there.  No way the performance should be exactly the same at 1440p/epic and 720p/medium.

Though there is footage on youtube of people using almost an identical rig to mine, with seemingly less issues so who knows.  Have had a few other issues too though.  In a three hour session tonight I had one hard crash to desktop, and two infinite loading screens after death that required me to kill the app.  Definitely awaiting a patch ASAP.

  • i7 9900k

    rtx 2080ti newest drivers.

    32gb ddr4

    w10

Using a 3rd party core parker, disabling hyperthreading seems to have reduced some of the performance issue.  However it could just be a placebo thing. I encounter it the most when a new areas is first visited, and during the games cut-scenes. I just don't see how testing could not have witnessed the dramatic frame drops pre-release? On the bright side, I've invested quite a few hours into the game without a single crash.

  • I notice you have two 2080 Ti cards, which may be related to SLI.  See below

    my specs

    Intel i7-6700k 4 GHz OC to 4.2

    32 GB RAM

1 TB SSD (SanDisk Ultra II 960 GB), game installed here

8 TB Seagate D: drive for PageFile

2 - MSI GTX 1080 SeaHawk.  No longer in SLI

ASUS ROG Swift PG279 monitor (Max 165 Hz)

I initially tried to run the game with SLI active on Sunday, Nov 17 and had a whopping 12 FPS.  After fiddling, dropping settings to medium and dropping res to 1080p I managed to up it to a whopping 20 FPS.

Monday’s update via Origin appears to be a greater change as I now get at least 40 FPS with an average of 55 at 2560x1440p ultra and SLI does not appear to make a significant change positive or negative.  I can confirm Acronis Active protection is a significant culprit as turning it off jumps FPS to 55 low to 72 average.

My suggestions are to install the latest game and nVidia updates, them try to run the game with SLI off.  Also check if your anti-virus or something similar to Acronis is a culprit.  Good luck!
