The game has a bug, I can't progress any further as my character cannot swim up

I've been playing this game on PS$ for a couple of days. I've gotten to Nur, where I saved the game, but I noticed it had become a bit slow, so I restarted the playstation. Upon restarting I found the character could not swim out of it's cave, making progress in the game is now completely impossible. The game was only opened for the first time last week and requires no updates. It has no scratches or damage and has no legitimate reason not to be working properly. It is impossible to return to an earlier stage of the game, and every time I open the game up the exact same problem arises basically making the game completely unplayable. I feel very disappointed that EA have essentially sold me a buggy game that doesn't work properly, especially given I'd invested time getting to a certain point in the game, only to be unable to finish it.

If there was a code or something that just allowed me to go back to the previous level and try again it would be fine, but there doesn't seem to be anything like that.
