Limit the number of bombers available, decrease their hull value, ANYTHING.Right now every game looks like this - 4 TIE Bombers doing suicide runs and 1 other player who isn't it on the joke.With fully powered lasers and an unguided gatling gun I can only do 45% damage to ONE bomber as it comes at my cruiser. And there are three more coming and they only need one pass to destroy a subsystem

Fleet Battle PVP will continue to be pointless until many things are fixed, including the current meta of Tie Bomber suicide swarms. Zzzzzzz. Experienced players will stop playing these cookie cutter matches, and new players will give up after getting beaten every time. The current state of PVP, including the Tie Bomber meta, is a recipe for long term failure.

Yeah, as a rebel, your hope of getting anywhere near a capital ship is close to nothing.. The few times I've managed to get close to a capital ship, I died before I actually hit anything important. Here's an experiment - go play a single practice against a capital ship as a rebel. Then go play a fleet battle and get next to one corvette.. You last 4-5 times as long against a full on Star Destroyer all by yourself, than you do against an Imperial corvette with several AI and friends helping you.I'm confused.You know why people 'farm' AI? Because the objectives are not any fun, nor are they worth pursuing, if you want an enjoyable, contributable game experience.

And suicidal engines shouldn't damage capital ships.

@Petersaber 100% this. Unfortunatly Kamikaze Bombers are still a thing, can't do much about them since hitting them constantly from max. range with overcharged lasers still won't kill them before they fly by/boost to the hull of your cap ship and then fire until they explode and deal additional dmg. Even worse when there are 3-4 of them and you're the only one actually fighting the thread (yes I know, having 4 morrons in squad is not the TIE Bombers fault, but still anoying as foxtrott uniform kilo charlie)

Not much you can do when 4-5 suicide bombers simultaneously show up except hopefully kill 1-2 of them from a distance before they're in range to explode. When it happens, it makes fleet battles against players pretty boring.

@Petersaber I think it's more that the Rebel ships - especially the Y-Wing - need a Buff.

I rarely see Y-Wings, I constantly see Bombers." - I 100% agree tie bombers are stronger than y wings, and still y wings are still comparatively OP vs non bomber classes. But okay, sure, tie bombers could be said to be ever more "broken" from that pov.
How are you not seeing y wings? Do you not play fleet battles? I don't even know how to respond.....

Ok, sure, it can be, but that's a dumb setup in fleet mode... (btw I don't care about dogfighting mode if u havent guessed). But maneuverability is not what makes them broken it's 100% because of the gun and how effective it is against fighters.

"found the Hanzo... I mean TIE-Bomber main!" that's very internet of u to assume I get turned on by Tie Bombers lol... I'm a pretty weird gamer in general... I get super bored be repetition and lack of challenge... like, once I get really good at game, I usually quit shortly after. I got bored of bombers once I realized they are so OP. I'll only play a bomber if there are no bombers on my team and we are losing on fleet battles... its so * boring, give me a challenge!

@ldanceswithcowsl "How are you not seeing y wings? Do you not play fleet battles? I don't even know how to respond....." - I am nearing 100 hours in multiplayer. I rarely see Y-Wings. X-Wings with dumbfire rockets are better at attacking capital ships.

The problem is imho the hull regen rate of regen component or field bonus who overcome everysingle dps of the game.
Imp ships are invulnerables when they are in regen rate, even if they start it at 1% hull.
You can chase them for 5minutes but if they just alternate between regen component/field bonus, you can't take them down as they are invulnerables while in hull regen state.
This is over amplified on tie-bombers as all the hull regen is (or at least seem to be) in % of your initial hull and not on a flat increase. So every time a tie-bomber use a hull regen effect, he regen 2000 hull on top of being invulnerable.

@PetersaberOkay... This is confusing... which game mode are you primarily talking about about? also, I think its safe to say that classes are balanced for fleet battles (i.e. the only ranked mode) and not dogfight matches.

There are usually two y-wings in the fleet battles I play... are you a super high rank or something (i.e. where ppl only play the meta)? Now if your talking about dogfighting, then sure, u will rarely see a y-wing.

For a tie bomber you get either super maneuverability OR armor, but not both? that maneuverable little tie bomber is no longer a tank...

I agree that the maneuverability of Tie bombers is a little silly in dogfight matches. But if they have maneuverability, they do not have armor... and i assume they balance it for fleet battles.

Ironic... I that intro sentence was made to convey levity. My bad.

p.s. i just bored and like arguing/ debating. I actually don't care about any of this stuff that much. Love u bb.

@Petersaber I see what you mean, but I mostly believe the fire rate of fire should be slowed down and the cool down rate should be longer, though the weapons overcharge should let the chain wined up start faster to open fire or reload faster.
