TrackIR support?
If SQUADRONS wants to move away from arcade push button Gamepad flying, it NEEDS to offer Flight stick/HOTAS support and TrackIR/VR support. Not to mention the shown micro management, we all loved i...
It would be cool, but I have been flying with HOTAS and TrackIR for ages and setup is too cumbersome and not fun for my taste, my neck and trigger finger gets RST pain too easily. I hope this game supports comfortable flying with mouse + keyboard and also flying with Steam Controller from my couch.
In the Star Wars: Squadrons discord Jay Ingram (Charlemagne) said "Nothing to share on TrackIR, but there is a way to toggle free-look in the cockpit."

Or you can use VR like the game was desinged around.thats always an option too.
@CA1-PAINLESSThe fact is trackir is significantly more accessible than vr. I got my head tracking equipment for ~$100 cdn including shipping and probably could have got that all the way down $60-70 if I really wanted to. If I wanted to get vr right now I would have to upgrade my gpu and get a vr headset (plus some other upgrades like a psu), if I went cheap that would probably cost around $1000, that's at least x10 the price. Supporting trackir simply means a key aspect of the game will be accessible to much more people.
