Unable to log into EA account within a game: email no longer exists

Hi,

You routinely advise people on how to regain access to their accounts when they need to update their email address. However, how is "If you can’t access your email account, get in touch with your email service provider to see if you can recover it" supposed to help when the problem is that the email account in question no longer exists, and  the email service provider no longer exists either?

I can log in to my EA account, and I can log in to my PSN account using my current email, and they are linked, but the game I want to play seems to be inextricably fixed on the old email account. How can I fix this? The game is Star Wars Battlefront (I expect to encounter the same problem in Battlefront II as well).
