VPN Purchases from Mexico

I just purchased starwars Battlefront. I am in australia . I done the right thing and ordered from the AU origin when others have used a vpn to buy from Mexico to obtain the full game cheaper. The people who have purchased from Mexico will be able to play on the 17th yet i have to wait until the 19th to play....it seems i have paid a higher price than those who bought from Mexico and i have to wait to play while these cheapskates get to play on the 17th. Do you find this fair??
It seems it pays to be dishonest in this case.

  • It doesn't matter where you bought the game, the availability of the game depends on location so if the 19th is the release date in Australia then they will have to wait until that time even if they bought it another place. At least on PC, I'm not sure how it affects consoles but I don't see why it should be different.

This might be preventable as well with VPN but that is not encouraged by EA.

Lastly, circumventing the regional prices in the Origin store is not encouraged either. I believe it could lead to actions being taken like account-locking  or refunding so it could have consequences.

Exactly thats why i done it properly and paid the full price on AU origin...I am just seeing posts where they are saying they get it on the 17th...Cheers for taking the time out to answer though.

I am happy to wait until the 19th and pay the full price without the vpn thing...i really Hope EA gets onto those who brought it that way
