i9-10900k, RTX 2080Ti, VR High and it runs awful. I'm using an Oculus Rift CV1, but have the HP Reverb G2 ordered. If I can't even get good performance on the Rift's resolution, I can only imagine what the G2 will be like.
Oculus's AWS can't even save it.
When I used to play Elite Dangerous with my 1080, AWS would kick in and the only way I knew was the reticle would be ghosting. In this game, when it kicks in, it still looks like it's dropping frames. I turned it off and verified that I'm getting below 90 FPS. No enemies, in the practice area.
Similar issues here. Only in fleet battles though. After about 2-8 minutes at full fps 90hz it drops to 20-30 fps and is unplayable. Exiting game mode and everything is back to normal. All other modes runs good enough, only FB that gives issues.

Until EA says otherwise, acknowledges everyone is actually experiencing this, and flat out tells us that a real fix is actually coming, I have assumed this is a limitation of allowing crossplay with this engine. The game is only functioning at 60fps tops, regardless of the duped frames it sends out to match your monitor/hmd.
EA STOP BEING SILENT AND TALK TO US ABOUT THIS
