I have heard reports of oculus suers having better luck on origin as it uses the oculus SDK unlike the steam version but i cannot confirm that.
As i say, its total luck at the moment if you can play VR
I refunded my Steam purchase and re bought the Origin version. It does run somewhat better. Less stuttering, except when turning, that issue was still there. To mitigate the turning issue I went into the NVIDIA control panel and overrode set Vertical Sync to ON for Squadrons. This overrides the in game VSYNC. I then set my monitor to 60Hz in the NVIDIA control panel. Then set monitor refresh to 60Hz in game as well. Turning in VR seems to be much smoother now. Give it a shot.

What you don’t like in steam version ? What is your videocard ? How this game works on low settings ?

As soon as I heard there were issues with the Steam version on Oculus I refunded the game.
Running a GTX 1080 Core i7-4770K with 16GB Ram. I've set the game to VR Ultra Settings, 150% Resolution Scale and 50% TXAA

@Pavesk8Same with you, Origin version in VR work better than steam version, is smoother and higher fps. In origin version I can hit 80 fps at ultra but on steam I can only get 80fps at low setting. Unfortunately my steam play time is already at 3 hours so I cannot refund it.

Origin version work better even without VR?
you can try to call to Origin support and get compensation for two copy of one game. Read rules in origin.
if you talk about VR.
steam version have a auto supersampling feature based on pc configuration power, which function you can switch off, origin version doesn’t have it with oculus
